Sphaera is a product of the company Quim Guixà S.L, which specializes in inflatable items. Together with Aula Del Cosmos, we have developed a very light and resistant inflatable dome planetarium. As opposed to other domes in the market, Sphaera allows the audience to lean comfortably on the dome walls while they enjoy and participate in the show without having to worry about their body position.
The dome entrance was designed to be an easy and instant access point. It eliminates thin halls or dark corridors that make the entrance to the planetarium awkward and uneasy, especially for the elderly and very young visitors alike.
The Shpaera is very light since it only weighs 21 Kg. and stands 4.5 meters tall. The material used does not deteriorate over time with the emergence of small perforations, which is the most common fault of other domes.
It is made of a material that provides high opacity (100%) and it can easily be installed in highly illuminated facilities while maintaining its inner darkness.
The Sphaera comes with a beautifully decorated outside which shows a full Universe bursting with stars and galaxies offering a very impressive image that invites people in. It also comes with a transportation bag for improved mobility.
Its engine is very light and quiet. It is covered with foam protection that makes it very easy and simple to transport. Its weight is only 8 kilos, but it has a flow strength that inflates the Sphaera in only two minutes and keeps steady ventilation during sessions.
The Sphaera doesn't only come in one size. It can be supplied in various sizes: 3m, 4m, 4.5m, 5m, 6m, and 6.5m are standard models.

OUTDOOR FIXED FLOOR DOME:
Planetariums that are fixed on the floor. Thought for outdoors events and water-proof. This model in the picture has an 8 meter diameter and is built with a double coat.
ARCH DOME:
Planetariums designed so the entrance door is held up allowing a very simple entrance and exit. Ideal for very young children and people in wheelchairs.
RIGID DOME: (In these picture 5,5 m)
In this case the planetarium is anchored in the floor with sand sacs. It's also portable but it seems a rigid structure, where you can install seats inside. Also you can use for a stable digital projection.
THEATER PLANETARIUM:
Planetariums made of one very simple material that makes it very light but at the same time, provide very high dimensions. Very suitable for big demonstrations with bigger projectors or theatrical scenes.
MULTI-DOME:
We can also provide a group of multi domes which create a single interior space. Like in the case of this mobile science museum from "La Caixa" foundation of Barcelona.
